To make a treasure chest, you simply collect in a container several material representations of your dream.  For the container itself, you can decorate a shoebox, or simply use a basket or a gift bag (a good choice if you are short on time or don’t enjoy crafts). 

Which one should you use?  Whichever one you prefer.  A treasure map is primarily a visual device that lets you see the whole picture, and see yourself in it.  A treasure chest appeals to your visual and tactile senses; you can hold the objects in your hands as you look at them.  Plus you can bring it with you as you go about your day—another good idea. 

If you are strongly influenced by your auditory senses, you can augment your treasure map or treasure chest with things that verbally represent your dreams.  If using a map, be sure to include positive affirmations and key phrases on it, and say or read them to yourself every time you look at it.  If using a chest, you can include a CD or tape of a favorite song that evokes in you the positive emotions that are tied to your dream, and play it frequently.
