Telling Tales out of School
March 23, 2013
"As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters."
Lucius Annaeus Seneca
- I have a story to share with you. I’ve told it before, but it bears repeating….
- Several years ago, I was enjoying summer vacation with my family in Lily Dale, New York, and relatively new to metaphysical studies, when I signed up for a week-long intensive workshop. I don't remember the title of the workshop, but I'll never forget the teacher, Sharon Anne Klingler.
- As part of the workshop, Sharon conducted mini-readings for the participants, based partly on inspired drawings that each of us had created. During my reading, Sharon had the thankless job of planting the seed of an idea about my spiritual path, which she communicated in the form of a question, "The ministry?" She was nonplussed at my response, an emphatic "No!" followed by my own rationalized interpretation of the drawing.
- Within three years, I was ordained.
You, too, have a tale to tell
These days, in addition to managing a thriving professional practice, my studies are strongly focused in two areas: mediumship development and past life exploration. Which is why you just might catch me skipping out of my booth at the upcoming Victory of Light Expo, and stopping by on Saturday for Sharon’s intensive workshop, “Become Your Own Medium.”
I am thrilled that Sharon will be at the Victory of Light! Inner Compass has hosted workshops featuring this internationally renowned medium for the last six years. And throughout the past year, I have been working behind the scenes with the Expo’s founder, Victor Paruta, to bring both Sharon and her sister, Sandra Anne Taylor, to the Victory of Light.
Sandra is another wonderful teacher from whom I have taken classes for several years, and Inner Compass has also been fortunate to host workshops featuring this New York Times bestselling author. I must admit, Sandra’s intensive workshop at the Victory of Light, “Harness the Power of Your Past Lives,” is compelling enough to tempt me to skip out of my booth a second time on Saturday. If only I knew how to bilocate, I could possibly even attend their Message Event that Sunday (sigh)….
The good news is that most of you will not have such a dilemma. And I hope that many of you will be drawn, as I have been (still am), to attend their workshops and experience the full impact of their wonderful teachings.
If you are planning to attend the Victory of Light Expo this year, then I look forward to seeing you there. Please stop by and say hello, and maybe stay for a mini-reading! And in the meantime, check out the upcoming events at Inner Compass – who knows, maybe you'll tell a similar tale about me someday....
