SUMMER CAMP IN LILY DALE

Lily Dale is a small residential community in southwestern New York state that is home to the Lily Dale Assembly, a not-for-profit organization committed to the study and practice of Spiritualism. Each summer, Lily Dale hosts thousands of visitors from all over the world who seek to learn and grow personally and spiritually.
Founded in 1879 as a camp and meeting place for Spiritualists and Freethinkers, today Lily Dale continues to offer soul-satisfying experiences: workshops, healing services, lectures, message demonstrations, thought exchanges, meditations, development circles, drum circles, sound baths, ghost walks, nature trails, coffee porches, lakeside picnic pavilions, and of course, private mediumship readings.
Private mediumship readings are perhaps the most popular of Lily Dale's summertime offerings. Currently there are forty registered mediums, each having successfully proven excellence in their mediumship demonstrations during extensive testing by the Assembly's Board of Directors and the Mediums League. Registered mediums are the only people permitted to provide private professional readings on the grounds of Lily Dale, and Joanne Franchina is honored to be counted among them.
Joanne is a fifth-generation medium and Spiritualist with deep roots in Lily Dale. Her maternal grandparents met on Lily Dale's beach, and several of her ancestors and extended family members built cottages and raised their families there. Joanne spent time in "the Dale" nearly every summer of her life. In fact, the cottage in which she now resides was first purchased by her grandmother in 1962; over the years it passed to Joanne's aunt, her uncle, her mother, and then to her.
Joanne has served Lily Dale in many capacities since 2005: workshops, inspirational talks, meditations, healing services, mediumship demonstrations, message circles, and private mediumship readings. Lily Dale became Joanne's primary residence in 2024, the same year she became a registered Lily Dale medium. This summer Joanne is offering private mediumship readings and leading three workshops; read below for details.

Individual Mediumship Readings

The summer camp season in Lily Dale, New York, spans ten weeks each year - roughly from the summer solstice in June to the end of August. During camp and for a few months before and after, Joanne is generally available for in-person Mediumship Readings at her home office in Lily Dale. Joanne does offer other types of Individual Sessions as distance appointments (online and telephone); however, the Lily Dale Assembly limits the private professional services that registered mediums may offer on its grounds to mediumship readings only. Joanne led her first summer workshop for the Lily Dale Assembly in 2007, and has taught there nearly every summer since then on a variety of topics: from meditation to mediumship; life purpose to past lives; everyday oracles to the divine feminine; creative manifestation to self-care. Joanne is honored to continue the tradition with workshops for the Lily Dale Assembly during the 2026 season.
