Wesak Full Moon Celebration
The Wesak Festival celebrates the Buddha's commitment to keep in touch with the earth and its beings each year on this day that commemorates his birth, enlightenment, and death. This sacred ceremony is an opportunity to be an instrument of the higher beings, from which divine blessings flow down to the earth to heal and empower humanity and all sentient beings. Spiritual aspirants from many backgrounds, races, and religions take part in this great act of service, and to receive the spiritual energies and blessings.
- Notes & Cautions:
- Due to the exceptionally powerful meditation during this festival, the following people should not join us: pregnant women, children under 16 years of age, and persons with heart ailments, unregulated hypertension, and/or glaucoma.
- For those who do join us, please wear comfortable clothing that is not made of silk. Also, it is traditional, but not required, for participants to wear white, cream, or light colored clothing for the festival.
